THE TRUTH ABOUT TURKEY
Every year pets end up at the veterinarian because they have shared the Thanksgiving feast, whether on purpose or accidentally. Swallowing tasty turkey items such as skewers, string, pop-up buttons, roasting bags or aluminum foil can cause intestinal blockage or perforation. Poultry bones splinter easily and can lodge inside or perforate intestines. Turkey skin is tasty, but full of fat and can lead to gastric upset or pancreatitis. Please dispose of turkey-related items and bones safely, and use caution (and moderation!) when sharing with your fur-kids.
