Christi Campbell, JD
Christi has been involved with animals throughout her life and fortunate enough to share her life with dogs, cats, horses, mice, gerbils, hamsters, turtles, snakes, birds, a guinea pig and one very special squirrel. She was hired as a vet assistant in high school and worked her way through college as a vet tech. She worked for an AKC Obedience Judge as a dog trainer, and later started her own obedience school. Christi has been training dogs for more than 30 years, professionally for more than 15. The study of dog psychology and dog behavior has always fascinated her, leading her to read extensively and attend many training seminars over the years. In her quest to understand the canine mind and body, she has taken animal communication classes and trained in Reiki, TTouch and Dorn Therapy.
Taking some time away from her animal pursuits to attend law school and work in state government and public policy gave Christi the perspective necessary to decide to get back to her lifelong passion-- working with animals. During that time she continued to teach basic obedience classes, give private lessons, volunteer as a trainer and to train and compete with her own dogs in obedience, herding and canine disc. She earned the title of Companion Dog Excellent with one dog, but realized that she only really had time for one dog sport. Since both she and her dogs loved canine disc, she focused her efforts there-- earning six consecutive state championship titles, national and international freestyle championship titles, among many others.
Christi travels nationally and internationally teaching training seminars and judging canine disc competitions. She volunteers as a trainer for Freedom Service Dogs, Colorado Disc Dogs and several rescue groups. She lives in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado with her husband, four dogs and two cats.
