PULSED SIGNAL THERAPY

• what is it? Pulsed Signal Therapy (PST) consists of pulsed electromagnetic signals that are transmitted to the body to stimulate the normal repair and maintenance process. It is non-surgical, non-invasive and achieves significant pain reduction and an increase in mobility with no side effects. PST is proven to promote new bone and cartilage growth, actually changing the body structures visibly upon radiographic examination.

• does it hurt? No, it is completely painless. Most animals lie comfortably and quietly in the machine during treatment.
  
  
• what does it treat? PST significantly relieves joint pain, tenderness, swelling and pain with movement. PST improves mobility, promotes restful sleep and enhances activities of daily living. PST is commonly used to treat chronic joint disease, osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, sports injuries and tendonitis.
  
  Studies have shown that PST is effective in curing periodontal disease and has a positive effect on heart disease and seizures. PST has been used to prevent disease in animals who have structural problems, it can also keep diseases such as hip-dysplasia at a pre-clinical level.
  
  
• what is the treatment process? Your pet will receive nine consecutive 30-minute sessions.  Treatment sessions are administered daily and can be given as frequently as eight hours apart.  It is very important to the success of the treatment that the sessions occur consecutively.
